What nice people say about us:
"Best shop in Reykjavik! Wish i could buy every single print."
I'm an avid photographer so just had to stop by this gem of a shop and buy some stunning photographs of the areas we had visited on this brilliant holiday. Photo's are not just recent but go right back in time as well, just excellent.
“Little gem of Reykjavik”
What a nice surprise this little tiny gallery in the centre of Reyjkavik. Strolling down the road after visiting the Halgrimskirkja you should not miss the small green house next to Café Babalu - it is a gallery of Photography, owned by Ari Sigvaldason. There, you can find nice prints, some books and cards as well as polaroids, partly done by the owner, partly of different artists from Iceland. It is just one room, but worthy to visit and admiring the very tasteful and stylish photographies.
“Beautiful photos of Iceland”
There are some absolutely beautiful photos across Iceland in this shop. You can buy prints, framed photos or canvas prints. We bought 3 prints, which we are going to get framed and put up in our lounge. Prices are reasonable and they make for some really unique souvenirs.
If you love crafty little places, and photography, then come here! Its located on the hill, straight down from the cathedral, you can't miss it. It's full of photo prints to buy, some cool old equipment, and a lovely Irish girl who works there. It's got a cool, laid back vibe, and is a lovely way to buy a souvenir print of Iceland that is a one off. Reasonably priced at £15, you can browse a huge selection of gorgeous prints from everything from landscape to quirky. Lovely little find.
A great little find.
